This 6.3 mile 1,300‘ gain hike provides a good view of Mt Hood and several other major peaks in the area.
Our walk will be through the Colonial Heights and Ladd‘s Addition neighborhoods. The entirety of the Ramble will be along paved sidewalks. Bring walking sticks at your own discretion.
Have you wanted to lead an Overnight Trip? This is the meeting for you. We will have members who have led prior trips talk with you about how they turned their trip ideas from "wishes" to "making it happen".
We will paddle about 5 miles and approximately 3 hours on a tranquil lake observing water fowl. We stop and get out of our boats for a lunch break.
This is a fairly strenuouse 7.6 mile 2,000‘ gain hike in the gorge that overlooks the Columbia River. There should be good wildflowers.
A scenic 5.5 mile hike through a forest of evergreens and ferns in lovely Stub Stewart State Park. Catch some views of the valleys Coastal Range as we wind along mulitple trails. We will stop along the way for snacks and conclude at the end with lunch on picnic tables where we parked.

This is an approximately 6 mile hike with about 900‘ in elevation gain. It will give us an excellent view of Mt Hood at lunch.
Mary S. Young Park offers a peaceful place to walk by the Willamette River. About 128 acres, this quiet, forested park is a favorite for urban birders. As you walk deeper into the forest on the numerous trails, it‘s easy to forget you‘re in a city. We will first walk down to the Willamette River, across the bridge and over to walk on Cedar Island. We will return to do the loop in the upper forested area.
Come to play bridge. As usual, bring a one dollar bill for the pot, beverage of your choice, and snack to share, if you like.

Come to play a board or card game: Tile Rummy, Five Crowns or Mexican Train. Bring a small snack to share and your beverage. Register and if you are confirmed and find you cannot attend, cancel ASAP so someone on the waitlist can attend.
We will have a 2-mile stretch of High 35 that we clean up[ once or twice a year. Afterwards we get together for a picnic along a creek. Come join us and feel good about making our mountain look good.

Steigerwald Lake National Wildlife Refuge off of Hwy 14 - parking lot is on the right
This is a 6.3 mile 2,106‘ gain hard hike that should provide a lot of wildflowers and views of the major peaks. It will be at a relatively slow pace so we can enjoy the flowers and views.
A lovely Forested hike along the East Fork of the Lewis River. With Views of 4 large falls and several small ones along the Trail.
This is hike mostly in the woods that is approximately 7 miles with 1,000‘ gain. We will have a view of Mt Hood around lunch time.
Belmont, Sunnyside and Laurelhurst area of NE Portland. This will be an urban ramble.
Cook Family Park boat ramp on the Tualatin River
We will paddle the Tualatin River from Cooks Family Park. A tranquil river having considerable water fowl.
This is a 8.2 mile hike with 1,800‘ of gain. If the sky is clear, there is an incredible view of Mt Hood. There should also be some wildflowers long the route.
A beautiful walk through the City and Metro Regional Parks. The hike is mostly on paved trails and city streets with some walking on well-maintained paths in the Metro.
We will walk around the Glendoveer Trail and through the Russell neighborhood to John Luby Park and back to finish the loop at Glendoveer.

Under the canopy of a evergreen forest is a 7.4 mile hike, passing ten magnificent waterfalls, 3 which you can walk behind. We are carpooling so read email for more details.
